Read about reviews for this restaurant and decided to try it. Now we keep going back regularly to try their dishes. Typical home cooking style. The sate skewers are average, the hokkien misua is good. The pork hock vermicelli is good. The fish cake and the oyster cakes are good. Of course you should try the singapore style hainan chicken. Also try the bah kut teh. We have yet to try their fresh fish and crab vermicel... View all feedback.

I only go here for the curry crab and sometimes lambchops, everything else I can get at another chinese restaurant for cheaper and better taste.
Saigon Star is known for their crab so we definitely ordered a few variations of it.
People come here for the curry crab The pricing on it fluctuates so much, I can't figure it out.

This place is worth the drive up to Richmond Hill just for the Singaporean Chicken with Rice, made as close to the old fashioned way as I have ever had in Toronto. Their fried Congee (porridge) is one of the most unique snack/fried food in the GTA. Not too oily, served piping hot with peanuts is a whole different level of taste. Also try their fish noodle which is noodle made from fish meat. It tastes awesome fresh, chewy without being too chewy. Top it off with their mashed taro dessert, very creamy without having to resort to using pig fat (they use Chinese red onion heads.) This does not even include their in-house menu (not on the take out or regular menu) for the more adventurous including pork hock (advance order needed.)
