I like their lunch special. They have better options for lunch than any other Chinese I’ve had or been to in Richmond. Their combination platter comes with automatic fried rice instead of white rice like other places. Love their broccoli, it’s steamed to perfection! View all feedback.
What Kat Wright doesn't like about Huang's Express:
We ordered a couple of entrees, a soup, and egg rolls.-In brief- they were all just kinda meh.-In detail- Rice pancakes for mushu were dryyy, and the mushu itself tasted just bad, the cashew chicken had almost no cashews and was only almost edible, and eggdrop soup was ok but the crunchies tasted stale, and the eggroll left a weird taste in my mouth. When we contacted the restaurant with complaints about the awful exp... Steamed Dumplings with dipping sauce were delightfully flavorful. Hunan Chicken extra spicy hit the mark for my husband. Huang's is our new favorite takeout.

Decor is not that great and does not need to be because most of their business is takeout. I do not get there as often as I would like.
Ordered the General Tso’s chicken with fried rice. The chicken was low quality and the sauce was thin. The rice is totally bland. It’s not worth the $17 I paid. The portions are nice but the food is below average.
Stars are not the best measure of Huang's. The food is good, the service is pleasant, the atmosphere is drab but comfortable. The real question is, if I worked near here, would I eat at Huang's every day? For sure! I wouldn't drive across town for the food. I wouldn't take a first date here. But for a neighborhood place, it's really good. There are dozens of restaurants within a few blocks of Huang's, and Huang's is the best in the neighborhood. Remember to ask for spicy if you want spicy. A lot of dishes come non-spicy, but you can get spicy if you ask.
