we loved this place absolutely. a beautiful wee traditional, welcoming pub/restaurant. very friendly staff and service. great food and well-stocked bar. we had such a great meal on Friday, that we also booked a table for Saturday. our little dog jasmine was made to feel very welcome. we will be back in richmond for a few days in the run of festive time to visit the family, so we can not wait to spend more than a few... A wonderful cosy pub with really excellent, good value food, great beer and friendly staff. Well worth a visit if you are nearby or a 5 minute diversion off the A1 for a memorable meal! The steaks and pies were really outstanding!
Great food and lovely setting. The steak pie that they specialise in is incredible. We visit here everytime we’re up in Richmond now.
Fantastic service and fantastic food. I've been 4 times over about 4 years and it has always remained consistently good with a seasonal menu. Highly recommend. Also instead of spending a fortune on rubbish food at Scotch Corner services on the A1, this little gem is about an extra 2 mins down.
