Contribute FeedbackSu Hang Restaurant in Richmond has had mixed reviews lately. While some diners are disappointed with the lackluster atmosphere and inconsistent food quality, others rave about the authentic dishes, such as the Ma Lan Tou and the soy braised gluten. The restaurant is known for its Dan Dan noodles, which are a must-try. Xiao long baos are a standout dish, as well as the Beggar's Chicken. Vegetarians can enjoy unique dishes like veggie chops. While some diners find the sweet dishes a bit overwhelming, the overall consensus is that Su Hang offers a wide variety of delicious Chinese food worth trying.
I ordered a dish with pork that had boar taint. The waiter refused to take it back. I am disappointed that the restaurant did not take my complaint seriously and I hope that they will take steps to ensure that this does not happen again. Boar taint is a serious problem and it can ruin a meal for anyone who is sensitive to it. I would like to see the restaurant take steps to ensure that only pork that is free of boar taint is used in their dishes.
The restaurant serves great quality Chinese regional food, good portion dishes, attentive staff, nice ambiance, and all safety protocols ref. covid were followed. Recommended!
We came here as part of our self guided tour along the Richmond Dumpling Trail. This is a nice looking restaurant with great service. They brought us complimentary tea and water to begin with and were very helpful in giving us advice on which dumplings to choose. We went with their pork Xiao Long Bao. They were larger sized dumplings with a great flavour.
We have been travelling a lot this year but returned to our favourite haunt at home for a quick lunch. We had fried Shanghai thick noodles and Chicken Noodles in soup. It was a satisfying meal the flavour was superb. The serving staff knows us and served us a complementary desert of coconut jelly. Order their signature fish head hot pot if you go with a table of 8 10 people but you must pre order. Their shao lung bao and fried dumplings are wonderful as well.
Su Hang Restaurant 蘇杭人家 located in Richmond, just on the way to our hotel- Abercorn Inn. The restaurant has a modest setting and decent decoration. The service was quick, cordial and very professional. The servers/manager were superb: warm, friendly and responsive. We, a group of friends/alumni, visited here when we returned from touring Swartze Bay-Strait of Georgia. The dishes we had were all delicious and tasty: particularly the fish, pancake, “Peking Duck” and Shanghai fried rice cake. We loved our Sunday night get-together dinner!
