La Vielle Gare - Richmond

Wouldn't let us in even though we both provided vaccination proof from our provinces with valid photo ID and showed them online what the rules are for out of province visitors they didn't care, turned us away.

Have been to this restaurant twice since it changed owner, once for breakfast and again for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast menu is larger. So are the portions. Enjoyed both visits.

The waitress spoke little English, but we had a fun time conversing. We split a small salad and had cheeseburgers, all were delicious. The decor was nice and the place was clean. The coffee to go made for the perfect lunch.

On the way to Quebec City and wanted to avoid chains. Waitress was very helpful and proud of her broken English and to tell us about all her trips to the US. Had nice salads as we sat on covered patio that protected us from light rain. Very relaxing.

We have been to the Vielle Gare de Richmond a number of times. Our most recent visit was noontime on Christmas Eve. Our party of four was well received. We were given the breakfast menu — which is surprisingly large — as well as the regular menu. One of our group had a western omelette off the breakfast menu, while the others had the chicken brochette off the regular menu. Everyone was well pleased.
