Jetside Lounge - Richmond

Four stars is an amazing review for an airport restaurant. We stayed at the Fairmont overnight, which is literally inside the Vancouver airport. This is the hotel restaurant/bar and it’s got a very cool view of the jets taking off and the mountains in the distance. The bar is great and the bartenders were very attentive. The martinis are tiny. But you just order more of them lol. The exchange rate is good, so we got out with a dinner for under $400 w tip. Which is a pretty good deal we had the oysters, which were literally divine. We split the signature burger which had great flavor and was plenty for the 2 of us. Calamari was a little too breaded but crab cakes were nice.. who can complain. They even had live musicWe didn’t need to leave the airport ‍

We just enjoyed a great meal at the Fairmont YVR Jetside Lounge. There aren 't many reviews of this place so we weren 't sure what to expect but we ended up having a very good dinner. Even the kids meal we ordered for our daughter was quite good when kiddie food is often an afterthought for most restaurants. She was given a delicious piece of salmon over rice with very nice vegetables on the side. Our other entrees were the Cobb salad, poke bowl and burger and all tasted good and were presented well. Prices are a bit on the high side but that 's to be expected in the airport. We 'll happily come back.

Some menu food and good place to hang out if you opt for light bite/snacks.
