This was our first time to Felico's and we'll be back. We went with friends and it was nice to sit in a restaurant with an environment that was conducive to conversation. The waitress was very good. Provided just the right amount of attention -- not too much and not too little.Great variety of dishes on the menu. We all had some variety of a seafood dish and all were really very good. Well prepared and yummy.I definit... View all feedback.
We ordered the Felico's Platter. It comes with Greek salad, pita bread, hummus, shrimp cocktail, crab/shrimp cakes, lamb, grilled chicken, calamari, mint sauce, tzatziki sauce, marinara sauce, rice, baked potato, string beans, and carrots. I suggest you eat the calamari right away while it's still tender and warm. The grilled chicken is usually the weakest part of the dish because it's overcooked. We just save it for lunch the next day. The Felico's Platter is a great value for less than $50 for two people. If you visit on a Saturday, there's often belly dancing at 8 pm. If you don't like the loud music, you can visit earlier or on a different day.The service is relatively consistent and the dining room is lovely. (There are a few spots by the windows that are quite drafty in the winter.) This is one of the few moderately-priced, western-style restaurants in the area that still uses tablecloths, which makes the dining room feel more upscale.
Approximately 25 of us sat in a private area for a celebratory dinner. The meal was preset where several courses were shared between 2 people: hummus and pita, iced shrimp, Greek salad (Caesar salad substitute if requested), fried cheese (yum), stuffed prawns, main platter included calamari, chicken, lamb, and each person got a plate with rice, potato and veggies and then a dessert plate. The service was good and the food delicious.
After running around Vancouver for a week we needed a change of pace. The land of great seafood and Chinese cuisine was wearing my buddy down. I am a SEE-food EATer. If I SEE it..I EAT it. He is not into pork, fish, tomatoes, mushrooms...don't like Dim Sum, PHO, Sushi, may eat vegetarian...you know the type right? LOL!Was going to go Korean but it was packed! So...off to Felicos. A Greek resto in Richmond! Go figure! Gotta Go!!!!The place was not busy. Let's say around 25% capacity - but it was Monday night - me thinks. We ordered the fixed menu with steak, salad, and dessert. The steak was ok...nothing to write about in great lengths. It was supposed to be medium but I got spots of rare to well done - probably the steak was frozen at some time. The rub could use a bit more salt as it was a bit bland for me. Dessert was tiramisu - nothing to rage about. All in all, an OK meal and my bud got a chunk of steak that he was craving all week! OPA!Cheers!
My sister in law found this place as she has a very specific diet of cans and cants. This place suited everyone in the group of four. I had a rack of lamb done medium rare. Perfect, and the sauce was a balance with nothing obtrusive including the light mint that did not take over nor overpower. Asparagus and carrots were cooked to perfection as well as the potatoes. The greek salad looked dynamite and the caesar was crisp, fresh and balanced with the right amount of dressing and cheese. My wife had the chicken schnitzel with also was quite delicious with a fantastic mushroom sauce with large pieces of mushroom also cooked to perfection. I would have really liked to go again to try a couple other items such as the ribs and steaks but not this trip as I was just passing through. The setting is of an upscale style but yet there is not a pretentious air. All the staff was warm and welcoming. The menu is quite varied and accommodates many tastes and preferences. I would say it is a greek restaurant and they call themselves mediterranean but overall they shouldn't be stuck in a single category. Schnitzel, ribs w/bbq sauce and a belly dancer for entertainment... all great and again not a specific category. The service was wonderful and the waiter guided you on your order. Listen to your server as they know what is good. A professional will always recommend what is best and whether they are upselling you or enhancing your experience, they should be rewarded for that not punished by deducting on the tip. This place is affordable and if you want to go out for a meal, have what you want to create the best experience. It is still affordable!
Good 'Western' restaurants are had to find in Richmond but Felico's is a favourite. There is good parking on site, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the table setting is nice and formal. Servings are adequate and delicious, well-done. The platters are a good choice and give good quantity and variety. Careful with the raw red onion in the Greek salad if you have a sensitive stomach though.
