Co-Co Hut Singapore Restaurant

If you love Hainanese chicken this is the place. It does serve a few Singaporean dishes like satay, curry, etc. However the cooking is not that authentic for the Singaporean dishes as the owner and cook are from Hong Kong. Having said that they are great and does not rush you out the door. Dinner for 4 consisting of a whole Hainanese chicken with 5 bowls of specialty rice and beans with garlic sauce only sets you back Cad$33.00 with tax.

Went there for lunch. Ordered a noodle dish and 2 other items. Midway through, my friend was getting more noodles from the plate. There was a big black fly in it. Called the server, pointed at the fly. Server asked if we were still eating it. We said no. He took it away. Did not give us a new dish. Ended up charging us 50% for that dish and full price on the others. Stay away. Much better places around there.

I was surprised by how good the Haina chicken isChicken is boneless and the meat is soft but tender.

Came her for lunch at around 1230 on a Friday when I suddenly craved some laksa.

I once gave this a 4 star review in 2013 What was true then, is no longer true today. The Hainanese Chicken with rice has gone sharply downhill.
