my partner and I have eaten here several times in the last months. the service has always been great and the quality of food is great. I ask the waiter to ask the chef to cook an authentic medium flavored dish and. the results are excellent. even better, in my opinion, than what can be ordered on the menu. recommend this restaurant. What User doesn't like about The Cinnamon Tree:
Food was good... but no set meal everything you had to buy seperate which the cost then goes up.. had to pay to park at restaurant grounds. Waiter was cocky wouldn't separate bills, added drinks and rice onto bills which we didn't order. So all in all the food was tasty View all feedback.
Had a meal on a Saturday evening with some friends. the portions were correct, the food quality was good. many employees on the hand meant service was very fast and polite. I go back to a few days time, would like to recommend top brands... all round.
Excellent food and no argument about that. Picked up a takeaway last night that we have had from the cinnamon tree on several occasions and it always comes to approx £31. Last night's cost for the same meal for three people was just under £42,...and two madras curries, relatively basic meals). I respectfully asked if there was a mistake with the price which was approx £11 (33 more than usual, I was told that the price increase was due to the higher cost of produce meat, vegetables etc) that Cinnamon were having to pay when buying in. I expressed that an approx increase of £11 (33 was very high but was told that it was necessary and that was that. I can understand that prices everywhere and for everything are going up, having said that I feel that a 33% is an excessive increase and for that reason I will not be using the Cinnamon tree Treforest again.
I regularly eat here. It is without doubt the best indian cuisine in the area. The service is always attentive without being intrusive and the food is absolutely delicious.
Booked this restaurant as it was on our bucket list. Got a table no problem on a Saturday night so was really excited. Starters came and to be fair they were pretty good. The mains we ordered, there was 4 of us, came after waiting...roughly 45 minutes. Far too long for a restaurant that wasn't really busy. Anyway, 1 of the mains came completely wrong so everything went back to keep it warm. The mains finally came correctly but upon eating them they were pretty tasteless. We hardly ate anything. My husband and son were both really ill. They both had the runs within half an hour. Our son was physically sick all night and also spent most of the night on the toilet. My husband felt really ill this morning and he loves his Indian food. My daughter in law and I barely ate anything so weren't affected. Overall very disappointed and horrified at how ill it made both men. WE WILL NEVER VISIT THAT RESTAURANT EVER AGAIN.
Excellent food, freshly cooked dishes. This was highly recommended by hotel staff. We didn’t have a booking and got a table, but it was a Tuesday night so it wasn’t too busy. The staff were very friendly, making sure we were ok and if we...needed anything else. The quality of the food was superb, one of the best Indian meals I’ve had. The naan came out hot, wasn’t dry it was very buttery. The restaurant started to get busy as more people were coming in but they looked after us. I definitely recommend coming here.
