Tired of eating fast food on the road we ventured into revelstoke and found this gem. The food was great, large portion, and served quickly. I would recommend this stop to anyone. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Nomad:
I was staying just next door at the Days Inn and walked over here to grab something to eat after the people in the room next door recommended it. I had to wait quite a while before I could place an order and then once I had ordered I waited even longer. There was just one girl seemingly taking the orders and serving ice cream while I saw others just puttering around not doing anything or talking. My food was then up... View all feedback.
I was there on July 31 and ordered a Nomad hamburger and a french fry. I could not believe how the french fries were soooo delicious! We were 5 people and we could not stop talking about how the french fries were soooo incredibly good. They are crispy and especially not greasy. I don't know how they do it. It's a must to stop for their french fries.
We stopped for a bite and to stretch our legs on our long drive from Campbell River to Calgary. We had burgers, chicken strips and fries. Everything was homemade and really good for what it is. Great customer service + they let us bring our pup up on the patio, offered her water and checked on us a couple times even though it was packed. Great overall experience. Thanks Nomad! We will be back.
Na een regenachtige dag wilden we een snelle maar lekkere maaltijd.Bij The Nomad ben je aan het goede adres. Snel en zeer smaakvol. Aan de balie bestellen en dan wordt het aan tafel gebracht.
My wife and I went for dinner. I had a burger she had the fish both were fine but neither exceptional. Considering the price (10ish dollars each) I wasn't really disappointed mind you, just left feeling it was kinda average....
We arrived at what must have been the tail end of the lunch rush on a Sunday afternoon. There was still a line up when someone from the staff came to the door that was being propped open and stuck a sign on the glass that served to notify the still to be served patrons that they had run out of soft serve, milk shakes (what not hand scooped shakes, more later) and Avalanches (what ever those are). I was really looking forward to a hand-scooped milk shake. Firstly I would like to say that it wasn't bad and my disappointment was tempered by my expectations. I get that this is a burger and fried food shack, but my order, the Seaman's basket, an assortment of fried seafood was cooked to beyond anything that still resembled food and my wife's burger was average at best. Our poutine was cold. But what really hurt was the lack of ice cream drinks. I surmised from the sign that was posted earlier that their shakes come from a shake machine. I may be a milkshake snob but I really like a hand-scooped ice cream shake, not their fault. and all this took almost 1 and a half hours start to finish. I wouldn't mind trying this place again but it will take some convincing on the the wife's part.
