Golden Flower - Reno

Place is clean, bathrooms are clean HOWEVER… the staff is so rude so dismissive. We tried to ask about an item in the menu, the lady didn’t explain because “she speaks Chinese and the menu is Vietnamese” when we received the food it was stiff soggy noodles covered in veggies. I even asked if they could exchange this because the noodles weren’t even cooked. The lady proceeded to say that no, they’ll soften. To which they never did. It tastes so bad. Like opening a bag of raw noodles and just eating it with veggies. The pho we got had overcooked noodles that were way too soft. It was overall such a bad experience. Even after voicing the complaint, the manager lady was indifferent. Even laughed and told us to try it again next time. Also, when we asked for a container for the soup, normally they take it back. She refused to and brought us the container. This wasn’t a big deal but we just felt really out of place and I can even go as far as saying felt discriminated against because we’re not white. The clients next to us were attended extremely well and even told us they felt bad because it was noticeably a big change with our service versus them. I was a client of this place for years but will not be returning after this unfortunate incident. And they don’t care. I recommend Pho999 in Reno much better.

We finally tried this restaurant after many, many, many trips to Reno for Hot August Nights. We will be back. We had the chicken pho, vegetable fried rice, veggie rolls, and the pot stickers. The food was amazing! The service was fantastic. The staff were very helpful. We love this place. So get your motors running and get here fast!

Didn’t expect to get good Asian food in Reno! Everything is fresh out from the pot, very hot and crispy! The servers do speak Chinese : ! They are pretty friendly. The environment is okay. You can tell it’s an old restaurant : Thai tea is just have and fried rice are biggggg portion. The bill comes tipped already but its not crazy (and actually quite convenient since I don’t have to calculate it myself

This place has the coolest vibe and best service we've had on a LONG time. My husband is all about the combination pho. The server was so kind, patient and had us laughing with her jokes. We went on a Saturday about 6, very family/community feel, big tables to accommodate larger parties. Looking forward to our next endeavor which is tonight. Thank you Golden Flower!
