Our table was booked for 20:45 but we... read more We had quite an upsetting experience last night at Louise. We arrived 2 families with 4 adults and 5 children for dinner. Our table was booked for 20:45 but we weren’t seated until 21:00. The children were lively but they were not extremely noisy nor did they run around during dinner. We had a lovely waiter who was friendly, patient and kind. Between dinner and dessert, the children went back and forth to look at the dessert menu on the board outside and all of a sudden another waitress named Claire comes up to me and starts telling me that customers saw our children spitting on the ground next to the restaurant and that they can not do that. I looked at her in shock and said that never happened. She continued to be extremely rude and said the other customers saw it with their own eyes and that they can not do that. I said to her that it never happened but she wouldn’t let it go and was telling me off. I told her I believe this conversation is over and I too am a customer and she needs to leave this table immediately. We were so upset by this lie and moreover by the fact she didn’t even bother to check if that was true. After dinner we spoke to the manager and explained to her that this accusation was extremely offensive and she repeated the fact that customers had said they saw that. When we challenged back she admitted none of the staff saw it and we told her again it was a lie. The other customers clearly didn’t like the noise of children (maybe even the fact they were foreign children) and blatantly made up a story. Claire immediately believed them and accused us of something that never happened without even listening to our side. Considering the way Claire spoke to us, I’m not sure she herself didn’t like foreign children, especially those speaking in Hebrew... We said we were very upset and on the verge of tears and this has managed to absolutely ruin our evening and leave a horrible taste on our last night in France. Thankfully the manager immediately apologised for the whole situation and agreed she needs to speak to Claire about her behaviour and how rude she was. She said she hoped this didn’t ruin our entire experience. The most upsetting thing was that the other waiter was actually really lovely and his service was great. Also the food was good. But all that no longer mattered after Claire’s awful behaviour. If you happen to be a foreigner and have children I really wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I would never go back there as long as that Claire is working there.
