that was really a great sound. do not let them be fooled by the name, it is not a “knock off” ihop. this place has been long and it is because they make the breakfast. omg, my man loves sawed bark hasch (they know what looks like dog food in a dose? well, they make their corned corbeef hasch from background to every day. to tell them that I love the witness would be a subdue – it is the best. they make their own syru... I have been to most of the Orange County locations, but we seem to enjoy the Redondo Beach, California for weekend brunch. During the weekends, there is always a long wait, and on this visit, this was no exception. We arrived about 12:00 noon on a Saturday, and the wait time was about half hour.<br/ <br/ My usual go-to menu item is a full order of potato pancakes, which are grounded or grated potatoes mixed with onions and seasoning, and made into a shallow pancake. Unlike hashed browns, where the potatoes are coarse, the consistency for a potato pancake is like mashed potatoes. Traditionally, they are prepared thickly, but I prefer mine more thin and the edges crispy (as pictured), and served with apple sauce and sour cream. Original Pancake House also serves excellent thick cut bacon, but not cheap as a side of 4 bacon comes
The Original Pancake House serves some seriously delicious food! Forget about the International House of Pancakes, when I'm in the mood for a great flapjack or American Crepe Suzette, I want the best - I want the original. So when my Great Uncle Moses (yes, that's really his name, without the "GRUB" part) kept talking about The Original Pancake House, I knew I had to check it out. We made the trip to the South Bay location in Redondo Beach, and let me tell you, it was worth it. We ordered the legendary apple pancake and the strawberry French crepes to share, and they did not disappoint. The apple pancake was a giant, crispy, cinnamon delight topped with baked apples and syrup, while the French crepes were super moist and loaded with strawberries and strawberry syrup. As we savored every bite, I couldn't help but notice the diverse crowd around us - from Uncle Moses from Shanghai to a couple from Israel. It was clear that this place attracts people from all over, united in their love for pancakes. The food was so good that we couldn't resist taking a few more bites even after our bellies were full. As we finished up our meal, Uncle Mo reminded me of his mantra to always strive for excellence. The Original Pancake House exemplifies this philosophy, serving up some seriously amazing grub that goes above and beyond. Thank you, Original Pancake House, for not settling for average - your food is truly top-notch.
The original one is in Anaheim and is still the best. We have been to almost every Pancake House and it is still our favorite by far. Be warned that the wait on the weekends can be horrible. The apple pancake is like an apple pie a cinnabon had a tasty baby.
These pancakes and French toast just melt in your mouth. The strawberries are incredible, oh, and the strawberry syrup is second to none.Add a wait time of under 2 minutes and that makes this the best pancake house in LA! IHOP BEATER!
Cute, friendly cafe. They are so accommodating, great food, strong wifi...only good things to say about this place. Great neighborhood spot!
