Chicken Fried Steak did taste good, but it didn't seem like there was much meat. And had a small bone chip in it. I would eat here again, but choose something else from the menu.Coconut pie for desert was really good! View all feedback.
What Rhonda SmithNachreiner doesn't like about The Family Diner:
The coffee was so bad I couldn’t drink it! It was 37 degrees out, I wanted “real” half and half, not powdered creamer, and the server was literally in open toes shoes with nasty, dirty , socks! I love finding out of the way diners, this one was cute when I walked in but no check back at table and poor attire not so much! View all feedback.
Home town values, good home cooking. Down home service with down home smiles.

From the time you walk in, you're reminded of a small town diner feel from growing up as a child where every town had a local diner.I ordered a burger and waffle fries with a Dr. Pepper. It was ready and delivered to my table in no time. The waitress was very nice and personable. She's a current college student at SEARK, so be sure to tip well!I will be back when I'm over this way again, hoping to try some of the homeade pies on the next go round. Parking: Minimal parking but just enough to accommodate the seating availability inside. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: Lower section has tables able to be accessible to wheelchair bound patrons
Odd ball place i caught on the way to work. absolutely delicious. burger and grilled chicken sandwich. fried pickles coated in cornmeal. not a single
We were told that this was the perfect place for lunch and dinner... unfortunately in my case it was not we ordered their steak dinners which was very pricey for what was served, additionally my steak was soo salty I was unable to eat it and was told if I took it home I could wash off the seasoning (this was not true). For the price I will not attempt to eat there again. Dietary restrictions: They don't ask about any restrictions and what you order you get seasoned as they feel it should be...especially heavy on the salt.
