What Apeksha Adhikari doesn't like about The Bell Inn,astwood Bank:
We have been regular customers at The Bell for a long time, and used to enjoy the authentic homemade pub food. However, we have noticed a significant increase in prices without a corresponding improvement in quality. We don't want to be overly critical of a local pub that we have always supported, but the experience just isn't the same anymore. We would have been happy to pay more if the traditional homemade cooking... View all feedback.
My daughter had her baby shower there yesterday. All the staff were brilliant. They put on a amazing spread. Would reccomend you pop in and experience the atmosphere of a lovely village pub who make everyone welcome.
Exceptional food, comfortable atmosphere, spotless clean and friendly staff.
We recently visited The Bell for a work reunion and all seven of us had a fantastic time. The pub is spacious and was bustling with diners on the Friday night we visited, which is a testament to the great value pub food they offer. Our orders were taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. The breaded mushrooms we started with were delicious, as were the Nachos which came in a generous portion. The main courses were equally tasty, with options like fish and chips, lasagne, and fish pie all being well-received. The only slight downside was that the desserts were hit and miss, with one friend's trifle being likened to a dessert from the seventies, while another enjoyed the profiteroles. The drinks were reasonably priced, with a bottle of house wine costing under fifteen pounds. The service was attentive and friendly, and we didn't feel rushed out at the end of our meal. Overall, it was a great night and we would definitely consider returning if we have another reunion in Astwood Bank.
My Mom, who lives in Redditch recommended The Bell, I have not been here since i lived in Astwood Bank 30+ years ago! Booked a table and was advised we will have 2 hours at the table, which was fine. We when we arrived we were shown to our table and ordered drinks, the menus were given to us and they were full and varied with a great selection including a Sunday lunch menu. We ordered and the food arrived promptly, looking fab and it tasted fantastinc. Hot plates and food and fantastic presentation. My husband had the Sunday beef roast and commented that it is quite possibly one of the best sunday roasts he had in a restaurant. The restaurant is small and booking is highly recommended as i doubt if walk-ins can be accommodated. Well worth a visit. Well done The Bell you made our family outing a memorable one.
Arrived for 12 had not booked a table so went to the bar area! To be asked if I needed help, stated I was just looking. Told by a blonde lady, just one table left only Tuesday! Requested a corner spot, not allowed there, but sat in another bar area! Another couple were sat very close to us! Corner spot remained empty. Ordered a dish off the menu not available!! maybe do not have it on the menu then! The whitebait not great and the fishcakes were tasteless! Did not dare complain. Unfriendly, cater more for the elderly and those who had booked! Won t recommend or go back average place and the bar area should be okay to sit where is more comfortable!
