For a lovely, welcoming and friendly pub that also make excellent cocktails The Travellers Friend is hard to beat. My first visit to this restaurant was as a guest at a private function. I always believe you can gauge the quality of a catering venue by checking out the cleanliness of the restroom. Unfortunately, the restroom for the function room upstairs had no lock, so I had to go downstairs. The cubicles were dirty with wet floors and none of the urinals were working. Small and slightly ropey traditional pub, very much a locals place. not the friendliest in the world, but redeemed by very well kept ales.
The front of the restaurant is still an old-fashioned but much improved pub, very popular with locals and their dogs and friendly atmosphere. Newish...
Fabulous Easter Sunday roast. From starters to dessert. Staff were amazing very friendly. Especially Emma and Amy. We'll done girls.

Would highly recommend The Travellers Friend for drinks, cocktails and food. All the team here from chefs, bar and restaurant work incredibly hard and know their menus and are an absolute joy! We were all made to feel so welcome, this is going to become our local pub. Thank you.
