I don't usually leave reviews however my experience here recently is deserving of one. What an amazing experience! Our steaks were cooked to perfection, I wasn't entirely sure which steak to have but our host, Amanda, was able to help me choose with her in depth knowledge of the menu. What User doesn't like about Miller Carter:
My husband I went for a valentines meal, paid £6 extra each for a fillet steak. Overall total bill £82.00.Considering this is a steak house that boasts about it, the steak was rather chewy and quite tough. The dog enjoyed it. In contrast to some previous visits to other restaurants within this quality chain of steakhouses, our experience at the Newbury Park restaurant was incredibly disappointing. My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves to the chateaubriand steak which is intended for sharing. When it arrived, we wondered why it was so small and didn’t look like the cut we were expecting. It would have been helpful if we’d been served with plates beforehand, as the steak was cooling off quite rapidly whilst we waited for the plates to arrive. This wasn’t a good start! As for the quality of the meat, it wasn’t the tender most cut we’d been looking forward to tucking into. It was rather chewy and considering the price very disappointing. Added to this was my frustration with the chips lukewarm and far from crispy on initial presentation, and when I complained and received another portion (or maybe this was the same portion, thrown back into the pan), the chips were indeed hot but somewhat burnt, so again, disappointingly below standard. We also noticed there was skimpy dressing on the iceberg wedge: rather mean! I didn’t think there’d be anything more to complain about, but the tea I ordered to round off the meal wasn’t that hot. Oh dear. Do we have any incentive to go back? Not to Newbury Park certainly!
An excellent restaurant, food very good ,ambiance is great always very clean.All staff members very friendly but if you are lucky enough to be served by Alyssa you will be in for a special treat. She greets all diners in a very friendly and efficient manner, is always attentive to diners needs and nothing is to much for her to make your visit a pleasure .A great place to dine Highly recommended
Excellent food and nice surroundings. Great and friendly service from waitress Melissa. We usually dine here at least once a fortnight.
Plenty of parking, good steaks , menu a bit limited bland, deserts disappointing. Service good but kitchen struggles to keep up.
