We were going to eat next door as we didn’t fancy Asian food, but the place next foor had nothing vegetarian. Chow had 2 veggie curries or you could get noodles and 3 different veggie sides, or a veggie sushi selection. The man working there was very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Finally, there's a decent Asian food option at a service station! We tried the green Thai curry and katsu, and both dishes were very tasty and satisfying. The meals offered excellent value for money and were a lovely alternative to fast food chains like Burger King or KFC.
The food at the highway service station isn't too bad. We had the green Thai curry with vegetables and rice. It was quite tasty and filling, although the rice had a few little stones in it. Overall, it was okay.
I believe teriyaki sauce shouldn't be spicy, but at Chow Asian Food in the Reading Services, the sweet chili teriyaki chicken has quite a kick to it. It's not overwhelmingly hot, so I could still enjoy it, but I would prefer it to be milder. I suppose it's because many English people tend to enjoy spicier Asian dishes. The duck in hoisin sauce that our son ordered wasn't too bad either.
Big red thai curry, would eat 100% again.
