I read on the Website... read more A friend and I were staying at the Maritim Hotel near DUS airport and we were looking for a decent restaurant which was close by and open. I read on the Website and on Google that the Bei Stefan was Open until 11PM, so we took a taxi and arrived at 9:15PM. We entered the restaurant only to be told that they are closing. I said "according to your website and Google you are open until 11PM" to which they replied "but the kitchen closes at 10PM". That conversation took place at 9:15PM!!! Did they lose track of the time??? We walked out in disbelief after spending 10.50 euro on a taxi to get there. Flushing my money down the toilet at the hotel would have been easier and would have spared us the walk back. This is the epitome of "bad business". Please note that this review has nothing to do with the food (which we never got the chance to try)

No matter if you're with Stefan, the food is always great. The service is always nice and friendly and Stefan himself always has a nice word for everyone. Speci... read more No matter if you're with Stefan, the food is always great. The service is always nice and friendly and Stefan himself always has a nice word for everyone. Special requests are not a problem either. In the kitchen you always try to fulfill all your wishes. Since I can't run at the moment, it's not a problem to place an order and someone will pick it up. It's all so well packed that food gets hot at home. All in all: 10 stars

If you like good meat, sauces and good wines, you are here. The service is also very friendly and accommodating. Be careful! Thursday is the day of rest that we often stood in front of the closed door, as we had forgotten the day of rest and were looking for the good food. The atmosphere is very pleasant and you can stay several hours on site.
