Wow, what a great atmosphere! this place has amazing ‘local color’ and personality! all they needed were a few beaten calendars on the wall. But really, the portions were HUGE, the prices were reasonable, the owner friendly and welcoming, the house frits were superb – thin, onions and green paprika, just kicked right – and my friends got an omelette that they needed to wear a push cart to carry away! What User doesn't like about Stevie Dee's Cafe:
for a coffee shop it is not bad. the walls are covered with photos of famous people and plates. I ordered a tuna sandwich on the white. the brot was fresh and the sandwich was a good size. additionally I ordered a bowl of homemade suppe and for the price of $2.60 this bowl was quite generous in portion. it was a hamburger penne style soup tomatie and delicious. my man had a white bon soup that was just as good. he wa... Okay, I admit it – I would rather spend my money for a mother and pop institution instead of an impersonal corporate conglomerate. That said Stevie Dee is a great place to spend my money. First, this is not a restaurant, it is a bona fide “common”. A 50’s theme, tiny diner with a limited menu and hours, (they close at 7:30). This is not a Friday evening date place, nor can you find everything gourmet about it. It is not a Frills family business that serves Diner Food. I eat here at least once a week for three reasons. The menu is small, but sufficient, and the food is good old mediator. Nothing beautiful, but really good and incredibly cheap. The breakfast portions are absolutely massive and you will definitely not be hungry. 2. Quick and easy. Although this cafe is very small, there is never a waiting time and you can get in and out quite quickly. 3. Friendly, Mom and Pop feel. The owners remember you when you get in. They ask you how you are and even remember what you order. This is a neighborhood connection with owners who really seem to care. Many nights get you even a free strawberry shortcake dessert with your dinner! In a time of impersonal, company “get em in and get em out” restaurants, This is a friendly little jewel that fills your stomach and warms your heart.

Some of the wall photos showed a wedding that was bred there and all in the wedding photos looked happy!

I would define the suppe instead of the salat. it is a much better deal and much tastier. So what I say is that, for the price if they don't spend much, it's a good stop to do.
