This. Food. I'm Peruvian and I look for Peruvian food everywhere. I can't even remember the last time I ate at a Peruvian place and every dish tasted exactly right. Man, I am in heaven. Every single dish was cooked perfectly. I added photos so you can see for yourself. Run don't walk. Order everything. The server was very friendly. Only downside was that while there's some seats and bar seating, it's not really a sit... View all feedback.
What I Sahagun doesn't like about Chasqui:
New management is friendly, kind, the food and service is great. It's a small restaurant but cozy. The new staff has made great improvements on food. One thing I would like for them to improve on is the pescado a lo macho. It's a bit to breaded for me, would love an option for grilled instead. Highly recommend to try the ceviche, platanos fritos, lomo saltado and camaron saltado (I always ask for extra sauce). They a... View all feedback.
Spectacular service and food recommendations from our server! Absolutely loved the food and vibe this small and intimate place has to offer. Definitely going again soon!!
Food :Great!Service: Super nice, helpful and handful all the time.Environment: Although it is small, it is clean and well-organized. Nice colors, too.We tried Ceviche, Guanavana juice, and Salchipapa! My mom ,son, and I enjoyed everything. We also ordered 3 Tamales to eat at home. We'll definitely come back! A highly recommended place! We are Peruvians, and we know our food!
First time here! Lomo Saltado was amazing! Had this dish at another restaurant in this area and this place was much better! Beef was tender and juicy and the whole dish was flavorful, love the spicy sauce that comes on the side too! Will try other dishes out in the future!
Cute spot. Definitely order the ceviche de pescado!! Delicious! Tasty, spicy, and a good amount of food.
I ordered takeout as part of dinner one night. I have to say I'm really impressed with the food here. My family ordered a steak sandwich, seafood fried rice, and the yucca fries. Each dish was excellent as it was both well seasoned and yummy at the same time. Unlike some other restaurants, I was not begging for water after each bite. Also, all of the ingredients felt tender and fresh to the bite. It did not matter whether it was the steak or seafood, the texture was just right. Yucca fries are always hard to get right. But this store did a great job with the taste and batter. I would highly recommend coming here to try out the food. There are not so many Peruvian cuisine stores near where I live but I am definitely interested in trying more after coming here. I also plan on coming back to Chasqui someday!
