We love trying an amazing black owned business in the neighborhood! Saw this place on TikTok and had to check it out. It is a small space but they do have two tables and a long counter for dining in. Afro beats were playing in the background- really adding to the vibe. We ordered cousin stizz fries and a Yosemite burger. The burger was delicious, the crunchy bacon and carmelized onion really did it for me. The fries... View all feedback.
What Sophie B doesn't like about Some Jerks House:
Only tried one thing but tbh it was pretty weak. The Kobe Chicken sandwich has gochujang sauce, pineapple and aioli. There was a ton of pineapple but the chicken was small and thin so it didn't balance well. What little chicken there was was moist and crunchy. The whole thing was also drowning in the gochujang sauce. Which was very tasty but way over powering, I have no idea what the aioli tasted like or if it was th... View all feedback.
Bred Gourmet is located in lower mills section of Dorchester. A foodie I follow recommended the place. Parking: free 2 hour street parking I asked the very friendly and accommodating cashier what are most popular items on the menu; he stated the Cousin Stizz Fries. I could tell they would be delicious because most of the Fries orders were placed afterwards. Cozy seating of a few tables and high table seating. Large TV in the place and games located in the place. We played Connect 4 while we waited for our order: -Cousin Stizz Fries (we shared) Cajun fries topped with spicy sweet chilli. Buttermilk fried chicken. Chipolte Aoli and scallions. -Hambuger with full trimmings -Kodak BLAT: chicken sand. w/avocado. Applewood bacon. Served on a ciabatta bun -Honey chicken waffles -Beignets with nutella for desset was chef 's kiss and Star of the show!! I asked my family what 2 words describe our lunch: Epic Foods Crispingly Delicious Tasty Bar-Foods If I could give Bred double stars I would. Thank you Bred Gourmet for an excellent lunch experience with family.
Got takeout here a few years ago, and glad we came back more recently. Rounding my rating up to 5 stars. My partner and I got the Bred classic burger, Monte Carlo burger, Parmesan truffle fries, and sweet plantains TASTE: 5/5 everything hit the spot. Well seasoned patties in both burgers, so the standard toppings bacon, onion, etc) in my classic burger were perfect complements. I am a sucker for truffle, so the Parmesan truffle fries did not disappoint. And ending w the sweet plantains was phenomenal. Need to come back to sample the beignets and the rest of the burgers TEXTURE: 5/5 smoked patties, tender smoked pork belly in the Monte Carlo, soft buns, and perfectly fried Parmesan truffle fries and plantains. Satisfying all around PRICE: 4/5 total came to $51. The Monte Carlo is more expensive $23) than the other burgers $13 17) SERVING SIZE: 5/5 came hungry and left absolutely stuffed SERVICE: 4/5 walked in at 5:15pm on a Saturday, placed our order at the counter, and our food started coming out 10 15min later ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 small space, w maybe 15 seats, and great music TAKEOUT: 4/5 appreciated the compostable box that the French fries came in PARKING: 4/5 got a free street spot right on Dorchester Ave

The whole thing was also drowning in the gochujang sauce. Which was very tasty but way over powering, I have no idea what the aioli tasted like or if it was there because of the overpowering of the sauce and pineapple. The bread was also kinda burnt.

They had an amazing spice but also a yummy sauce with delicious little pieces of fried chicken- a MUST try for uniqueness. We ended with an order of beignets- they were PERFECTION. Crunchy on the outside fluffy and doughy on the inside. Definitely a must try place in dot!
The burgers are solid, but the barbecue jerk wings are outstanding. Always a favorite stop when I'm in Dorchester Center.
