Feedback
Nestled in Quincy, Fat Cat offers a lively pub-style atmosphere with a committed staff delivering attentive service and generous portions. While some dishes, like the lobster mac and cheese and fried calamari, have garnered high praise for their flavor, others, including ribs and wings, have fallen short of expectations. Guests appreciate the burgers and crafted cocktails, but some note a need for menu refinement. Despite varying opinions on the food quality, many agree that the lively environment and friendly service make this spot a dependable choice for casual dining.
We ordered four burgers and the Fat Cat mac and cheese. The burgers were cooked to perfection and had a real, delicious flavor, clearly grilled by someone who knows their craft. The mac and cheese portion was generous – I couldn’t finish it all and ended up with enough for a second meal, making it definitely worth trying. I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices across the menu, especially considering the quality of the food. Throughout our meal, our waitress consistently refilled our water and checked in on us to ensure we were satisfied. Additionally, one of the chefs personally delivered our food, showcasing how well the kitchen was managed. Overall, it was a great meal accompanied by excellent service. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
We were not in the time, we thought we would check it again. the first thing we noticed was bad ambiente for 7 o'clock dinner, bright lights that only noticed me in the ground that the place needs an overhaul. chairs st the bar cunning, smell like old beer, not sure why we stayed? eating was very hard, not a tempting salad. the only plus was the bartender, she was pleasant!
Ate here this Saturday. I can say service was great and accommodating. Food was on point. I would def come here again, or recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to watch the game or just have lunch dinner.
Great experience and a great meal overall. We went on a Tuesday night and they weren't overly busy. We were seated quickly and the waitress (who was on her game the whole meal) came over right away with drinks and menus. Our order was put in just as fastand the food came out surprisingly faster. We ordered 4 burgers and the Fat Cat Mac and Cheese. The burgers were cooked perfectand actually had burger taste to them (like some guy was in the back grilling on a legit barbecue). The Mac and Cheese was huge(I NEVER take food home and there was enough left over for a second meal) and definitely worth a try. Price wise we werepleasantly surprised to see relatively cheap and reasonable prices for everything on the menu especially compared to the area.Service wise our waitress kept our waters filled the whole meal (simple yet often overlooked) and checked in a bunch to makesure we were taken care of. Additionally one of the chefs (I'm guessing) brought our food out and had the look of someone whoknew how to run a good kitchen. Overall it was a great meal, with great service and was priced very reasonably. I would 100%recommend this place to anyone in the area.
A friend of mine mentioned this place a few times before the pandemic. I'm glad I could finally get there. Interesting place in a busy section of Quincy. The food is really good. BIG PORTIONS!!! The Crabcakes were some of the best I've had in Mass, Igrew up in Maryland, so I know Crabcakes). The spicy aoli is good, it adds depth of flavor but still let the Crabcake flavorthrough. I got the Fat Cat Philly with Truffle Fries. BIG, but very tasty. They have several flavors of fries on the menu. Realgood flavor on the Philly. The Mac and Cheese is the best mac I've ever had, soo good. I know, your mom makes the best Mac ev'ahright? WRONG! This will open your world to how good a Mac and Cheese can be and don't even think about going back to KFC orChick fil a after this. You could drink the garlic cream sauce in a straw and it would be awesome. BIG. REALLY BIG. You can feed4 people with this. Unless you are carb loading for the marathon, do not get this alone. You can also add meats for anadditional charge. The bartender was super nice. She mentioned that their drinks have a kick to them, so be warned. Anotherthing is that the bathrooms for this place aren't in the restaurant but across the hall. They were not well maintained when Iwas there, I'm not sure if the building manager or the restaurant is responsible for that so I will not let it effect my score, but as patrons be warned. Parking is not great in the area as well, but you can walk there from Quincy Center. Definitely worthvisiting, bring friends
