Went here for an early dinner. My partner and I ordered. Crispy eggplant Shrimp roll Steak fried rice Shiitake pasta Their crispy eggplant was the best, the bitter aftertaste that eggplants usually have, wasn't there at all, and the kani on top made it perfect! Their shrimp roll was nice, the mango went well with the breaded shrimp inside, it made the roll fresh and it cuts through the richness of the fried shrimp. T... View all feedback.
Great food. Great place. Reasonable price. The best place to escape stress will definitely go back here
Everything's just so perfect!! From the ambience, to the food down to the very accommodating well-trained staff. Two thumbs up Will definitely keep coming back for you, Nanka! Our family loves you already!
Tried their Beef Fried Rice, the Mushroom Pasta, the Tofu appetizer, Salmon Maki, and Kani Salad. Among the dishes we tried, I liked the Tofu Appetizer the most! It had a good texture with chewy tofu skin outside.
Discovered this place out of friends ' recommendation. And I was right all this time Nanka is where the Moomba Bar was before. I used to hangout at Moomba Bar because there are live bands and usually, every after Rotary meetings, we would hang out there for some booze. Now, it is a very artsy restaurant with old cameras and even an old vinyl player at the entrance that offers food that is Japanese inspired or has a Japanese fusion. Ambiance 5.0/5.0 I easily fall in love with restaurants with a lot of windows, great interiors and has a lot of vintage displays. Also, the restaurant is very clean. Service 5.0/5.0 The service is very commendable. They had a reservation so they were already preparing the place but still, they were kind enough to accommodate us and take our orders. Food 5.0/5.0 Crispy Eggplant the moment I ate it, I was really shocked because it does not have the sticky eggplant taste. The toppings (Crab Salad, I guess) really complements the Crispy Eggplant. Shitake Pasta this Pasta was pretty generous with toppings and sauce but at least the creaminess of the sauce and the mushroom balances each other. Beef Kushiyaki this is like their Beef BBQ and to be honest, I love how beefy and spicy it is at the same time. The meat is tender and not ma sebo at all. Miso Custard at first, it looks like Smores but it is not. This desert was really a standout 'coz its not so sweet and at the same time, has a very heavenly taste.
Salmon Inari this was huge. I had 4 bites before I finished a piece. Salmon is fresh, flavor is delicious. It 's a really filling appetizer. Shitake pasta this reminds me of yc 's charlie chan but I like this better because it 's a simpler, no frills dish yet the flavor is unkmistakenly there. I like that they were generous with the mushroom toppings! The serving is good for 3 people. Steak fried rice the steak was a little tough wish they sliced the steak to smaller pieces , and the rice lacked the steak flavor that usually comes from the steak drippings. But the serving is huge. Hope they improve this dish! Nonetheless im giving nanka 5 because I enjoyed our over all experience. The place is pretty, spacious and clean. The staff are very accommodating. And I would love to return to try the other dishes
