We happened upon this restaurant while walking the Quentar loop (treksierranevade.com) when the route was blocked by a newly erected gate and we took to the road. How lucky were we. A terrace which looks over the valley, some of the best service from an absolutely top class waiter and that is before we get to the food. Stuffed Aubergine, Bacaloa and beautiful mushrooms with ham everything was extremely good. Those who like their aesthetics old school will love the bar and overall I cannot fault this place. Make it part of your walk/ride/drive.
Up a country road known mostly only by cyclists, with great views and a lake nearby. The atmosphere tends to be quiet and the dining rooms are large. The back room with the fireplace is more cosy. We also spotted a minor celebrity (Granada FC footballer) here. A nice terrace for an aperitif a roundabout for the children but a bit old and rusty and needs improving. In the restaurant, everything was really spectacular from tapas through to coffee. The house paté and baked aubergine were excellent and filling as starters. The star turn was the bacalao/cod with seafood sauce the best I've had. Others in the group had lamb and steaks and really enjoyed them. Children's unusual wishes were accommodated with no problem and the service was top notch. The wine list is OK not extensive; and red wines are stored in the cellar and so may need bringing up to room temperature. The bill was less than expected for the quality and service. I've now been twice and will return.
"Beautiful area and very peaceful."
