Great open area with a wonderful atmosphere. As we sat down we were greeted by a friendly waitress and served almost instantly. Seems like they specialize in schnitzel and certainly don't disappoint. An absolutely wonderful experience and would certainly return to try some of the flat bread dishes which looked amazing. Definitely a place to come back to! View all feedback.
What Gundula Noack doesn't like about Kaffeehaus Zum Roland:
Was a little bit disappointed after stopping for ice cream and was given small portions for the price and then having dinner there a few days later to find also small portions and very average meals. I tried the fish and have had better at Nord sea plus others tried the schnitzel and it was dry and tasteless. Wouldn't recommend which is a shame as the location is great. View all feedback.
Nice quiet and clean place for a quick snack, a cold beer or a cup of tea or coffee. They also have icecreams.
Typical german cuisine, but very well made, also very consistent and never dissappoints. Schnitzels and cakes/pies here are notable. Service have place to improve, but nothing out of ordinary for germany. Also the restaurant itself is pretty nice and has a great view.
Beer and wines were fine, dishes were excellent, surrounding great, what else could we expect? Highly recommended!
Kaffeehaus Zum Roland is right in the middle of town. Quedlinburg is the perfect place to explore by foot, and Zum Roland makes a convenient central stop. The restaurant was originally seven individual homes that were combined, which means there are a number of small...eating areas. It adds to the overall feeling of intimacy in the restaurant. I was very impressed with the quality of food this is a terrific choice for lunch in Quedlinburg!
Late review as we went there in September although I want to mention how good and tasty the food was!
