Went here based on the recommendation of a friend from Ottawa. I expected it to be good based on Quebec city's proximity to Montreal's Dunn's/Roi du viande fumé/Schwartz etc. Honestly it was better. Sorry not sorry purists, I said what I said. I ordered medium with Dijon. The fries were good the cole slaw was good the pickle was perfect the rye bread was fresh in and most importantly the smoked meat was melt in your mouth amazing. I really liked the ginger beer (in lieu of ginger ale). The owner came to our table and talked to us and his daughter was very courteous... She caught me before I forgot my back pack. Quebec has so much to offer but I liked the local vibe of this place and area.
Great smoked meat sandwich, probably best in Quebec City. Option of Lean, medium or fatty, I went with medium and it was perfect. Large portion, definitely did not need extra meat. Also loved the pickle and great service.
We had the pizza and Greek salad. The pizza was exceptional and the Greek salad was as good as we had in Greece! The desert was a very nice cheesecake and the coffee was even good! The service was very friendly, efficient and the owner came and introduced himself and asked about our experience. Would definitely return! If you love the smoked meat, pickles, cheese or dressings, they sell them to take home!
The pizza was excellent, first real BBQ-sauce that I've had in Canada that actually tasted like something. There was a lot of topping in the pizza and the smokiness was delightful. They had some beers too outside the normal Molson drafts.
We got a smoked meat sandwich and french fries. Very good! I would go there again. The sandwich ranks up there as one the the best ever.
