The best Indian I never had was the waitress so friendly and professional. Really? more beautiful place to try wherever they are!

After so many bad reviews by TA reviewers with more than 50 reviews, they have changed the name in tandoori tadka. I don't know why they have 2 entries in the TA restaurant section as they should be amalgamated. still totally like most Indian restaurants in the algarve.

Not recommended: small portions, not freshly prepared, not authentic Indian, bad taste and partly burned. naan tastes like pizza. absolutely overpriced. I was in Indian restaurants all over the world and I have eaten a lot in indies on street stands. it tastes better. on every corner in india on the road, I have never eaten Indian food so bad in my life! the mixed starters were burned and tasted old. I would have stopped eating and going. the main meal was not much better either. the chicken Chilly sauce tasted italian, so I think this restaurant used bought finished sauces. there were only 4 ridiculous prawns in the mango prawn and it tasted not indians, only creamy. the garlic naan tasted like pizza. we complained and got another tiny, tasteless dessert that we could not eat. we will certainly not come back, even if the waiter offered us for the next time, only to pay if we like to eat that. Unfortunately, despite the offer it was still much too expensive: 1 mixed starter 2 main dishes 1 cooked rice 2 garlauch naan 1 large sparkling water 2 small glasses red wine for 45,80€!

Had poppadums and chutney for starter. The chilli onions were hot! But perfect. Lamb balti with pilau rice and roti for me and tandoori chicken for the missus. All really good and worth the money.

Really enjoyed my second trip to shalimar ! Yummy food and great service! Will defo make another trip back next year
