Feel bad giving this place 2 stars as the staff were lovely and the design feel of the place was great but the food was just really dry and strange flavour combos. It was also quite expensive the most we’ve spent on a meal so far. Had tempura veg to start which was nice (except the fried mint leaves). The staff were friendly, great atmosphere and interesting local aromes
Feel bad giving this place 2 stars as the staff were lovely and the design feel of the place was great but the food was just really dry and strange flavour combos. It was also quite expensive the most we’ve spent on a meal so far. Had tempura veg to start which was nice (except the fried mint leaves). For main had: 1) pad Thai without eggs which was dry and tasteless and had an overkill on raw bean sprouts 2) brown rice in lotus leaf again very dry but it was recommended I had a soup with it which I wish u had done for some liquid. For drinks had a Heineken and an apricot wine (which was a bit like rice wine and probably an acquired taste). Due to all the previous positive reviews I think we just probably chose the wrong dishes...
It was delicious, a lot of options off vegeterian food
Decent food Price is rather high compared to other equally good resto
The food is always consistently delicious, the square cake is the best of an amazing menu, using all the parts put on the plate to construct the right blend of flavours is fun and the best thing about Vietnamese food. We always enjoy the various rolls. The mustard leaf one is spicy and unique. The green curry is smooth and tasty and the homemade fried tofu are golden medallions of silky goodness. The seating can be a little crammed it is best to reserve well in advance if bigger than a party of 2, the stairs sometimes make it a challenge for the staff to go up and down a lot.
