wow, what a brilliant pub. Not only are there great food and ale for visitors, but also a great village center. brilliant use of space and really nice staff. eat good menu, good aromen atmosphere right old pub, but also clean, cozy, comfortable. service happy staff, looked us to shop what a great idea to have a small village shop in the pub. love it, as arnie said: “I’m going back” and now to smile at her....or groan... What t1metraveller doesn't like about The Kings Arms:
Very disappointing. My 23 year old daughter is gluten free. Popped into the pub to check there were gluten free meals in advance. I realise it is tricky, but when we went back in the evening, the only options were ham and some chips. My poor daughter was in tears. We were a group of seven that therefore had to find a different solution. View all feedback.
Visited several times during a holiday and absolutely loved this pub. there is a great mix of a healthy amount of faithful local visitors and those who visit from other afield. this is a perfectly placed refreshment station along the priest’s way, as eating is a joy - we thought of a drink, but ended up eating with an ingenious Sunday roasting dinner. the kitchen is located in a delightful rustic bow in the garden, but not be deceived by the look - the quality shows that the cooks enjoy and are good what they create. there is also a useful shop that keeps many important things for local and tourist. we will definitely return.

Friendly and helpful staff, excellent service. Sunday roast is outstanding, good sized portion and good value, cauliflower cheese is delicious. Dog friendly too.
Very much a locals pub. Pretty average to poor retail standards, beer served in wrong branded glasses after 23 years in the pub industry, I know that’s a sign of a don’t care approach) several dogs chasing around the garden, water dripping onto pub floor from roof leak, some customers who looked as though they might challenge an age check, dingy, dull, damp, basically the kind of pub which is dying out and understandably so in this case.
We had an amazing evening at the Kings. I have coeliac so eating out can be awkward but everyone at the Kings made me feel super safe. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was brilliant. Would recommend this pub to anyone passing by.
