Contribute FeedbackJack's on Marion Street offers a delicious early bird menu and a lively Happy Hour. Despite some service mishaps and a casual bar atmosphere, the food and wine selection were excellent. The panko and macadamia encrusted tilapia and sofrito roasted pork were standout dishes. The affordable prices during early bird hours make it a great deal. The service was top-notch, with attentive servers like Richard and Nicole. Overall, Jack's provides a fantastic dining experience, though the lack of aperitifs and confusion with menus were slight disappointments. With great food, service, and prices, it's definitely worth a visit.
My husband and I were in Port Charlotte to attend a show and decided to have an early dinner at Jack's on Marion Street in Punta Gorda. After reading great reviews online, we made a reservation and were very pleased with our decision. We had a fantastic meal at a great price! From 4 to 6 pm, they offer 5 or 6 entree options for only $13.95, which includes the entree, soup or salad, bread, and dessert for each person. What a deal! I ordered the panko and macadamia encrusted tilapia, which was the thickest piece of tilapia I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The Caesar salad was also good, with the option to add anchovies. My husband had the sofrito roasted pork, which was slow-cooked, tender, and delicious. During that time, drafts were $2.50 and house wine was $3.50. We enjoyed sitting outside and our server, Nicole, was attentive and provided great service. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience with great food at a great price. Would highly recommend!
As visitors from out of town, we were unaware that this restaurant had a more casual bar atmosphere. Despite this, our booth was comfortable and located away from the bar, so we were pleased with our seating arrangement. Unfortunately, our experience took a slight turn when our main courses arrived before we were offered any bread or our appetizers. We ended up skipping the appetizer, which was disappointing as we had wanted to try the Tuna Poke, which looked fantastic. Additionally, we were surprised to find that there was no aperitif available from their full bar. However, the wine list did offer a good selection. Thankfully, the food itself was really delicious, so we ultimately left the restaurant satisfied. Overall, this experience was unexpected for a restaurant that is rated number one.
We recently visited Jacks with a group of 8 and we were all very happy with the menu, table, food, and service. It was a fantastic experience and we all agree that we will definitely be returning. Thank you to the management and staff for a great time.
This was the second time I have eaten at Jacks. Both times I was very happy with the service and the food. We had reservations for dinner and we were seated promptly. Everyone should eat at Jack's on Marion (but please, don't everyone show up on the night I want to eat there).
This was the second time we've been to Jack's for your early bird menu. The dinners are delicious and the portions are generous . We also enjoyed Happy Hour ! Our server , Richard, was top notch!
