What User doesn't like about The Swedes Bar & Bistro:
Last year we had a great time with Chuy and Oscar. This year Oscar was not there and Chuy was not at the bar. A mojito has mint! They should know this, and no sprite. The bartender treated us like we had the virus. Wore...a mask and never said a word. We went for dinner but after being told we could not smoke at the bar, I have to say Thank You because we found another great place for dinner. Last year a great atmosp... View all feedback.
Consistently consistent cuisine...what else can you say about The Swedes. They 've had the same menu since they opened, or so it feels, but at least it 's executed. I always end up getting the Cobb Salad despite my preamble of Tonight I will not get the Cobb Salad (Traducido por Google) Cocina consistentemente consistente ...
So, let's be clear: there is nothing Swedish about this place except for the name, the three crowns logo and possibly the gravlax (which was way too salty). The former owner seems to be long gone and they should really change the name. We gave it a try nevertheless and the food is quite good, although expensive. It is somehow tragic that food in Mexico is a lot more expensive than in Sweden. The initially friendly staff totally ignored us after leaving a 10 tip. The US tipping culture has ruined this country (too).
We have been visiting PV since 2017, and have made it to The Swedes every time. It's perched up the hill where Olas Altas meets Pulpito, and offers views of the Zona Romantica, and Los Muertos beach beyond. The menu is always creative and delicious....This time we enjoyed the Restaurant Week mahi mahi and zucchini risotto, with a beautiful green salad with goat cheese, mango spring rolls, passion fruit pie and chocolate mousse. The cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced, as is the wine list. This place feels special without being pretentious, and always offers us a great meal in a setting that can't be beat.
It's been a few years since we've been here and The Swedes still delivers on great taste. We had a couple chicken dishes, including the pesto noodles with chicken, and both were great. Shrimp rolls were also excellent. Thanks for all the tasty Cosmos and...a great lunch!
