What Aaron Mayr-Mauhart doesn't like about Kin Southern Table:
Chicken and Waffles were amazing. Other than that, a little lackluster. Atmosphere was cold and not the cozy welcoming environment you'd expect from a southern table, although the staff was friendly. Homefries were cold. View all feedback.
Let me first say that I was in kin several times. when it first opened, it quickly became one of our favorite spots in pwd. greatttt soul eating. great drinks. the last few paintings I left, the experience was not as big, not bad, but not exceptional as it was. this last time we have a party of five. we had great drinks, and eating was quite good, but not in the scale we had remembered. the service was very dirty, not very attentive and missed some listings, but all the workers were exceptionally sweet. everyone enjoyed their dishes, but had the same handles. I am a bit cheated because I really loved this restaurant, but from the latest experience it will not be a place I recommend and take friends. I really hope this can change.
Great southern food, limited menu but everything is prepared well, great service, overall a great night out.
Christmas Eve during the freezing cold storm and the restaurant could not have been more warm and inviting. Food was terrific and staff was absolutely lovely. Capper was the marriage proposal the entire restaurant got to witness. It’s a special place with special food and special people.
Great resturant! We are from Georgia and thought the southern food was delicious! The fried chicken sandwich was better than some of the places down south! AND THE BACON
I love Kin. It’s a wonderful joy for southerners in the cute city that is Providence. Their collards, macaroni and cheese, and chicken is phenomenal. Personally, my favorite dinner combo. Brunch is a great deal, with bottle service mimosas at $25–perfect for a group of three or four. The chicken and waffles as well as shrimp and grits are authentic and classic. It certainly brought a little slice of home back to me. I highly recommend Kin for events , brunch, or a nice comfy cozy dinner! Job well done, Kin.
