We were placed in a beautifully decorated room, the ambiance was great!! The food was good especially the deep fried pickles. We enjoyed spending time together at the Twisted Cork. View all feedback.
What MarkF doesn't like about Twisted Cork:
First time customer based on previous reviews , we had the roast beef dinner special and lamb rack , roast beef was tough and hard to cut , our adjacent table ordered three of the same , they had the same complaints , lamb was way over seasoned , way too salty , drinks were fine . We each had the weekend dinner special which was a starter salad, a roast beef dinner (with Yorkshire pudding, vegetables, mashed potatoes and a dessert for $33 it was excellent! The Caesar salad is clearly homemade dressing and came with a slice of bacon and a Parmesan crisp. The roast beef was very tender, the veggies were cooked perfectly, the Yorkshire pudding was delicious! I asked for mine to be cooked a bit more (because as I learned, medium rare roast beef is NOT the same as medium rare steak… and they were very nice about it! And the crème brûlée and the New York Cheesecake was an amazing finish! Excellent meal, way too much food, and amazing price at less than $35 each!! With 3 drinks, our bill was less than $100! In this day and age, that’s quite ‘cheap’, but the dining experience was rich! Also, our waitress was lovely!
Veggies were done to perfection as was the beef and yorkshire pudd. My wife had the stuffed chicken which she loved also.
The food was hot and fresh. The server was attentive but not intrusive. We were all pleased with our meal and the quietness so we could have a good visit.
I will say, if for anything the staff are worth the visit. Meaghan, Mike and Victoria are AMAZING. Because of them I made two visits to The Twisted Cork. They have a decent wine selection from BC and a menu that is sure to please any palate. The menu changes, but honestly, whatever you order is full of flavor. I ordered their grilled salmon on a bed of tagliatelle with grilled asparagus. The temperature was good, seasoning was a touch heavy BUT in no way effected my enjoyment of the dish. $38 very worth it. Over the two evenings I spent with The Twisted Cork let's just say I took a little tour of Mike's signature cocktails and I was in foodie Bliss. My favorite was his Elderflower Basil Sour. It was a mix of complex flavors that came together to make an amazing cocktail. Overall, I sampled six of his signature cocktails and learned about the how and why he developed them. His an amazing mixologist. I Highly recommend The Twisted Cork and will def return if I ever find myself in Prince George again
