We've driven by this place for over a year and never stoped by. Our family of four stopped by Esperanza on a Saturday night and found it slow. We were promptly greeted and seated by the waiter. What Derrick S doesn't like about Esperanza:
Make sure you look at the price of your meal! We ordered things that according to the menu were cheap and the check came back high! We will never return! The food was mediocre at best! The view is amazing!m, but that's about all! View all feedback.

We also choose local wine from Valle de Guadalupe, Monte Xanic, which was great. We will make this a must stop during our visits down here!
We had dinner here. The seafood stuffed mushroom were excellent- large portion so be careful, don't ruin your meal. Our party enjoyed the carbonara pasta, sea bass, and the short rib. Service was great. They even turned off Kenny G per our request for something more lively!
Esperanza has a great location, right on the cliffs, overlooking the ocean, with some cool, comfy seating options. They have a great bar tight there on the cliffs, too, and enjoyed a tasty round of margaritas. They usually have live music Saturday and a Sunday, too; check their website or Facebook page. Had a nice chat w/ the owner, Brad. Definitely worth a visit,
Disappointed. Went to find that they are still not open for indoor dining and froze in outside the cold and windy air. The view is beautiful but our food was not great. I ordered the Salmon which was supposed to come with a white wine and caper sauce but there wasn't any and the portions were very small. My husband ordered the fish tacos which were ok. But. this is not fine dining as advertised.
Awful service. awful wine list who serves santo tomas ****) and no idea what elegant entails. the setting is beautiful. prices high. hopefully they get their act together
