I recently visited the newly rebranded restaurant now known as The Rock and had an amazing experience. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a lovely afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday. View all feedback.
The waiter Basin provided excellent and attentive service. He is knowledgeable about the menu and was able to accommodate dietary restrictions. The coffee cocktail Bombardino was delicious, although it may not be decorated. I highly recommend the soft, juicy, perfectly cooked pork rib eye.

My first visit was a delightful experience! The drinks were exquisite and it is a fantastic spot to bring family or friends for drinks and delicious food.
Brilliant Biltong and Brie Sirloin Steak. Immaculately prepared with intense taste. I really enjoyed the ambience and kindness of the staff. The manager also paid us a visit to the table to get information about the experience. A great place.
Well well well. After a very mixed bag of past experiences, Life Grand Cafe seems to have cleaned up their act. I had the biltong sirloin and it was truly exceptional. The staff are friendly and attentive albeit a little slow on the service side, but not enough to be upsetting and it’s been a lovely experience. The atmosphere is lovely, it’s the most beautiful of the Life Grand Cafes in Gauteng, and the location is really great. With the Club being expanded, this is going to be the centrepiece of this whole big development, and it’s really becoming a deserving establishment for that title. It might just become my destination of choice for a relaxed weekend lunch where I can take it slow and just enjoy myself. Is Beluga still here? I’ll have to take a look.
