What Steve Lim doesn't like about Hoefli:
I do not know if they had a bad night or it is always like this. But, we had to wait an hour and a half for our chateaubriand. To top it all off, 3 of us had bad stomachs the whole night! Was my first time there, and we drove all the way from Zurich to meet friends in Basel. Honestly, I won't be going back. The place itself is charming and classy. But, the service and all the waiting spoilt our evening. View all feedback.
It is always a pleasure to eat at Höfli. The great Höfli team is simply a hit. Well-positioned, courteous, but also always ready to joke, you always feel very familiar and relaxed. The food itself leaves nothing to be desired and is always a taste explosion and always well presented. Nice Gault Millau which Höfli and chef David Doudard also think is great. All highly recommended
