Went for a meal and left after being ignored for 15 minutes. We were given a menu card but no drink order was taken then we sat around waiting for someone to take our order which didn’t happen. In that time the table next to us was served their food which didn’t look great so we got up and left. Disappointed as it looked like a cosy place to eat View all feedback.
We had an excellent meal in a quiet and comfortable area just off the reception. Both the mullet and lamb main courses were excellent. The chocolate tart for dessert was very rich, but good - although it was too much for us. Our total bill came to £82, which included a pint of ale and a glass of wine. Overall, it was good value considering the quality of the food and service.
I had a fantastic Sunday lunch with three courses at this restaurant. The food was superb, and it's reassuring to see that the restaurant is performing well again. The meal was lovely, the service was great, and the price was reasonable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The beef was excellent and the three-course meal was great value. We have also enjoyed evening meals here in the past, with the Welsh lamb being a standout dish. The atmosphere is quirky and inviting. The only minor issue is that, like many places, they are short-staffed which can result in slightly slower service.

Can’t say it’s the best place I e ever stayed. And for its price per night I was expecting a much higher standard of room and service. This place is tired and it’s website fools you into thinking it’s something it not. I’d rather stay in a premier inn than stay in this place again. The bedroom wasn’t clean the decor is god knows how old, the menu was overpriced and a limited choice and what was served up certainly wasn’t worth the cost. Steak and Chips with a bit of salad garnish for £25 !! I wouldn’t mind if it was a quality dish .. it wasn’t. And simply don’t get me started on the service. I stayed with a friend who took another room and he was equally disappointed as he was embarrassed as he was the one who booked it !! He’s forgiven .. but sorry The Wynnstay … you need to improve.
