The First Post - Portsmouth

No a bad pub. Had a small beer garden out back and staff was friendly.

Always enjoy this pub whenever in the Portsmouth area. It's a good honest pub, well run and comfortable. Everyday Wetherspoons good value beer and food. Five minute walk from Cosham railway station.

Food was brilliant, drinks not so much, was handed the most watered down pint I have ever tasted, gave it the benefit of the doubt (might’ve been the bottom of the barrel) and asked for a replacement, also undrinkable so gave up and asked for a lemonade instead. The young male who fixed the problem the second time was very apologetic.

Not quite the experience I was hoping for. Popped in for a breakfast while waiting for my car to be repaired at a nearby garage. The pub itself looked nice from the outside but rather shabby once inside. I found a quiet booth as didn't want to be close to others due to COVID. Several customers were not wearing masks when walking from their table. People were smoking just outside the back doors and kept leaving the door open so smoke wafted in. A patron had to complain to staff to get the door shut. The online ordering facility was quite good apart from the option to have decaf tea was missing, so I had to ask at the bar before ordering. Kind of a waste of ordering online as it took longer than if I'd been able to just order at the bar. The service however was quick and the staff were very nice and polite. When the breakfast arrived it looked nice and although it was edible it was in my opinion below par and a little greasy. Sadly I can't recommend this place and I wish I'd gone to one of the other cafés in the area.

Came here after wanting some good pub food. I used the app to pay for the food. I went to order a curry and as I went to pay it said that it was out of stock. I went back and it said it was still on the menu which was disappointing because I really wanted the curry. I ended up getting a chicken wrap which was good but not what I wanted. I'd come back if they had everything on the menu as stated.
