Masseria Montetirena - PORTO CESAREO

Location stupenda, una masseria con un bel giardino, giochi per i bambini e qualche animaletto. Il menu offre piatti tipici salentini a prezzi convenienti e non troppo salati. Il servizio è efficiente, veloce e gentile. È possibile mangiare anche la pizza. L'unico difetto è la strada per raggiungere il ristorante, ci siamo persi nonostante il navigatore, sarebbero utili più segnaletiche per indicare la posizione.

Da circa 25 anni frequento questa masseria e raramente delude le aspettative. Sono stato ieri sera con altri tre amici e siamo rimasti tutti pienamente soddisfatti. Abbiamo avuto un bel tavolo vicino al camino, cosa che non accadeva da tempo. Quando c'è un bel clima, tutto il resto passa in secondo piano. Abbiamo ordinato un po' di tutto, dalla pasta alla carne alla pizza, e per concludere anche un bis di gelati. Tutto buono! Complimenti al personale!

After 45 minutes after we are seated, our order is finally taken. Water and wine are brought which we finish as another 30 minutes go by before our first dish arrives. Next serving arrives after another 45 minutes. A side dish went also missing. Pity as the food was very good and well prepared, kitchen deserves a 5+ but waiting time not even a 1. Perhaps it was just the evening. Very honest with pricing as well. Would risk going again.

The best place we ate in Salento. We tried a couple of other restaurants masserias during our vacation in Salento, but this stayed in the top with its great food, especially the pasta. Service can be improved but I saw that this goes for the entire region
