Everything we ordered tasted great. We had two different bowls (Havana and Ropita), beef empanada, cafe cortado. The bowl has combination of delicious items beside the meat choice fried plantains, avocado, mango, rice and bean, etc. My fork was dancing around all these flavors. Our bellies were so content. So glad we bumped into Cubo!! View all feedback.
We hadn't heard of this place before stopping in, but it was hot and we were hungry. SO WORTH THE STOP.We had a Cuban Sandwich with Fried Plantains, and a child's size Guava Chicken Plate and Yucca. The child's size option was great because it was still plenty of food, but $6 cheaper. Both dishes were amazingly flavorful and came out surprisingly fast, considering how busy they were.Definitely worth stopping in!Dietary restrictions: Almost all dishes were gluten and dairy free.
For a nice lunch spot, this Cuban place is amazing. For bowls, sandwiches, and platters under $20 you will definitely be satisfied. The Cuban sandwich with tostones was delicious.Definitely see outside in the back, if the weather is nice.
I love the music, the atmosphere and the food is freshly delicious. I guess I can say that I have visited Cuba, through my plate. Highly recommended, great ambience.Food: 5/5
Cubo is a small restaurant with a great energy, the aroma is instantly captivating and the workers are very friendly and talkative. The menu is robust with all Cuban options.I ordered the Pan Con Lechon with a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were really good and so was the sandwich but my only complaint was that the sandwich didn’t have much pork in it. I felt as though the taste of bread shone through rather than the pork. But all in all it was a great experience and I would recommend it.
We came in during the holidays while it was chilly out, and this place really hit the spot. I got a cafe cubano and pollito bowl, and everything was reasonably priced, the portions were sizable, and most importantly for me, the maduros were perfect. I'd happily eat here every time we come to Portland!
