Stopped in to pick up samosas on my way home and they were delicious. I didn't have time to stay and try the buffet but I will for sure be stopping in sometime soon to try the other menu items. The staff were very nice too! View all feedback.
What Rashawn Roberts doesn't like about Red onion:
We wanted to give it a try. And it was okay I would go back again. They are working on getting their smorg going so that is a good thing. Give them a chance people they have only been there going for 3 months everyone needs a chance to learn the ins and outs and the wants and the needs. View all feedback.
Found this restaurant on trip advisor as it's my first visit to Manitoba but I must say the food taste amazing, nice and fresh, seasoning on point ! Chef Girvir is really good on explaining the menu and accommodation the special request , send us some complimentary dessert as well. Delicious will be back again! Thanks for making our trip memorable
First time at the restaurant. Greeted at the door by a pleasant young man. He explained the dishes to us on the buffet it was Father's Day. He told us what each dish was made of and how spicey. Father was treated to a drink on the house and we chose the homemade, in house Yogurt and Mango. It was so delicious and refreshing! The food was wonderful. We did not go spicey and everything was just right. We did try the rice pudding for dessert even though we were stuffed! It was delicious too. Will definitely go back.
Amazing, when you get it to your car and the heavenly scent fills the air you will know you have made the right choice. This is our go to place for a lovely meal in Portage, each dish we have tried has been delicious (we've tried almost all of them) and each time we say how lucky we are to have this restaurant in Portage. The service is great, the cost is on par with what you should expect to pay for a meal of this quality and my kids love it! They always ask how much spice you would like and I find Indian food is more spiced for flavour than for heat so we go big and no one has said it was too hot. If my wife would let me I'd go again and again.
I am in Town on assignment, and was looking for something a little off the beaten path. Despite being in a nice strip mall, off the beaten path the food and service is excellent. The samosa was one of the best I have ever had. If you are ordering, defiantly pick one up. You will not regret it. I ordered a curry dish that some with a side of rice. The curry and rice brought back memories of my home and eating out there. The staff are super friendly. While the restaurant unfortunately is closed due to COVID, the house is quite large and they offer a Buffett which I would love to try. Definitely ordering from here again. Thank you.
I took my family to this restaurant for a family gathering and we all loved the food. Even though I usually don't like Indian cuisine, this restaurant prepares it in a way that is incredibly delicious. The owners are friendly and easy to deal with, and I would definitely return without hesitation. In my opinion, this is the best Indian cuisine in the province of Manitoba.
