Tate's Place - Portage

I love Tate's place. From endless medium roasted coffee to the small masons with ice water, Tate makes me feel that I can breathe deep and enjoy my morning meal and lunch (especially during a nice, warm day on the terrace). The food is given in generous portion sizes and is offered with sinful delicious waffleries or mixed fresh fruits. My personal favorite is the chicken avocado sandwich with a side of fresh fruit. Hunger? Get an omelette, every omelette. My friend has one and it took half of her plate! I believe there is a reason why there may occasionally be a waiting time to sit in this small irrigation hole of portage. There are these home travel from home vibe with excellent food and coffee. Sure to say I'm coming back.

We have made Tate’s Place our regular Sunday brunch operation! We have no complaints about our meals and we usually have Claudia as our server she is great! The one thing I would consider to be an improvement is the waiting area as Sunday is a busy day for breakfast and lunch and it can definitely be a little crowded there!

I've never been here before today and was initially skeptical because most places here are not good with breakfast food... Boy, I was wrong! The service was unbelievable and we had our food at our table within 10 minutes and my food was FREE! This is the first place where I prepared my eggs as I like them, and I made myself feel full and with some tasty remains! Great prices, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back in the future.

Excellent for breakfast, brunch or lunch! The best fresh bread and food quality

Today we went to Tate's and I had a cup of the creamy chicken noodle soup and the pot roast quesadillas. OHHHH MERCY!!! Thought I'd died and gone to heaven! The soup was delicious and I can't believe I've never thought to make quesadillas with pot roast before. I only ate one slice and brought the other 3 home for dinner. They are PHENOMENAL!! Norm, your people have out done themselves once again! Very, very good ;
