Stopped in here to get take out food while waiting to ferry. It has all i would expect, a (well decorated) hole in a fall, staff who are not native speakers (but really nice), and tasty food. The place was empty and the service was as quick. I had 3 carne asada tacos, sans cilantro, and a liter of coca cola. Gringo restaurants call these street tacos, but they are just tacos here. What J P doesn't like about La Isla Family Mexican Restaurant:
My fish tacos were made with escolar. How do I know? Google the name of that fish and you'll learn about the explosive oily orange diarrhea that I had for three days afterwards. View all feedback.
Fantastic food in huge surpluses, at a decent price. Service was friendly and helpful. The food came within 10 minutes, although the place was pretty busy. Several locals said the place was a local favorite and I can see why. Two times in the same trip. I very much suggest the Ceviche Bites.
Crazy taco and traditional lime margarita. Taco very good. Drinking was obviously premix and not fresh. Easy setting outside near water. Could have used more chips and salsa. View helps everyone!
This is my new favorite restaurant in Port Townsend. We came with four adults and a toddler with a stroller. We sat at the front of the bar because we didn't know they had a back dining room. We ate chips and salsa and then asked to pull back and they did nothing, but I felt bad for the contamination of two tables. The back dining room on the terrace was so cozy and had plenty of space for the stroller. The decor is beautiful and the view is great. The chips, salsa and pico were delicious. Our food was amazing. I have a taco salad and it was the best I ever had. They do not add beans and rice, so it was not so tender. Only salad, tomatoes, Guac, sour cream and Carne Asada, which was perfectly charred and fat. They also give you a ton of guacamole. My husband got a Burrito with Carne Asada and it was amazing that they have good quality meat and they know how to cook it. They were also so friendly and friendly.
The service was very friendly and fast. The inner cleanliness and the food were, in my opinion, simply ok, but I give them 4 stars only for service and location. The food was a mixed bag for me. Some things are really good like the Enchiladas, but the Nachos, where just nice when a hot mess. It has a beautiful authentic feeling, but only ok food.
Great place, nice remodel work done. This place is a regular for us. It's cheaper than Subway or McDonalds and you get actual food and great service. Today had the fish tacos, probably the best Mexican food I've ever had. Located near the ferry so you have time to eat between boats.
