I am thrilled that my family and I chose to have dinner at Carolina's Cuban Cafe today! The service was excellent, the restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying the Ropa Vieja, Bistec Palomilla, Arroz Moro, tostones, and maduros. We will definitely be returning in the future. View all feedback.
What Yellow Vette doesn't like about Carolina's Cuban Cafe:
My party and I experienced clear discrimination at this restaurant. Despite being told to choose a table, we were ignored while two other couples who spoke Spanish were promptly seated and served. We sat for 10 minutes without menus or drinks, as the waitstaff repeatedly passed by our table without acknowledging us. After 15 minutes of being overlooked, we decided to leave as we watched the Spanish-speaking tables re... View all feedback.
My first cuban food. Excellent. Would highly recommend. Wish we had a place like this in Michigan.
If you're in Hudson or passing through on Hwy. 19. be sure to stop here! You will be warmly welcomed. The selection of food is outstanding and service is superior. Try the Cuban sandwich or Carolina sandwich. The service, friendliness of the staff, and the quality and quantity of the food is worth the trip (and all of this comes with a reasonable price
Excellent family Cuban food experience fucked a bit away from the street. exceptional friendly staff. cuban sandwich was authentic and excellent. especially the black was quite tasteful. cocktails were made with fresh ingredients. the meal finished with Cuban coffee. will definitely return if we are in this area in the future.
I just walked out after being ignored. There were two servers and two tables occupied. I stood around for a while and finally asked the lady making a drink if I should seat myself. She said of course and apologized for not seeing me. So I sat down and waited while the servers chatted with their respective customers. After another few minutes or so, I went over to the stack and picked up a menu for myself. No big deal. Perused the menu for a while still no service while they chatted with their respective customers. Finally I had to leave, as I only have so much time available for a lunch break from work. I really wanted to give this place a try, as I was raised in Tampa and love cuban food. It would have been easy to put my order in and go back to speaking with their other customers. Oh well...
Got the Cuban sandwich (excellent), 2 Papas Rellenas (even better), and a flan to split between myself and my hubby. The potato balls were enormous and the meat flavorful. The Cuban sandwich was also quite large, and between the two of us, we're keeping the second potato ball for lunch tomorrow. Will be going again soon.
