We traveled from San Diego in search of delicious Mexican cuisine in Port Orchard, and we absolutely loved this place. The restaurant provided complimentary chips and salsa, which was a nice touch. We ordered a burrito and a fish taco; the burrito was generously portioned, while the fish taco was a good size—much better than the tiny tacos served at some other restaurants. The location is perfect for a stroll through... View all feedback.
What Lauren D doesn't like about La Palapa Mexican Grill:
Service and chips/salsa were great, but our main entrees could be way better. I’m not sure if it’s because we went when they first opened and the kitchen was just starting, but sad that they didn’t live up the reviews : View all feedback.
I had Chile Relleno with rice and beans. It was so good. The chips and salsa are also so yummy. They also give you beans with the chips. I love that. Service was friendly. My sister liked her enchiladas. The table next to us had some of the biggest burritos.
Go here weekly, great food no matter what You're craving. Best carnitas in town.
The street tacos and shrimp tacos were amazing!!! First time here and definitely not the last. By far my top rated taqueria style tacos in the area. Gentlemen at the counter gave us chips and salsa to go too, which were warm and fresh. Experience was 10/10.
Service is a joke. Food isn't very good. We didn't really want to go there for lunch but nothing else was open. Past experiences were all awful. Hair in food, everything tastes like fish... they need to change the oil in the dryer. Cheap ingredients and people who know very little about operating a restaurant. Don't waste your money.
Finally, a restaurant outside of San Diego that knows how to make a bomb California burrito. Service was really fast for my takeout order too.
