What User doesn't like about Flying Fish Cafe:
Good fish and chips but the ordering system is a total nightmare. Needs to have a number system. Took 50 minutes to get the fish and chips, which is fine if there are many orders, but you had to go back and ask for your name now and then. I large screen with numbers (or even a queue list like domino’s) would mean people can go and enjoy the beach and still know when to come back. Even the vibrating disc system would... Fabulous place to enjoy a meal overlooking the bay! Unbeatable view while enjoying fantastic fresh food. Elizabeth was serving us, she also took our booking and was very professional and delivered the highest standard of customer service. A must try if you haven’t been before.
Got to be one of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a while, and in a great spot. We just had it at the cafe and it was brilliant.
The Flying Fish is the best place to eat!!! It is definitely my favourite!!! The restaurant is top end, food, service and value for money, not to mention the fabulous on beach location with stunning views across Horseshoe Bay!!! In addition right next door to the restaurant is a cafe style eatery with equally as high quality food and service. If that isn’t enough they have an ice cream serving hatch so you can grab a cone with delicious ice cream and take a stroll along the stunning beach!! You have to go to appreciate what you are missing if you don’t.
All the given stars for the ambiance, customer service and the quality of food. 1 missed star is because of the quantity, which is very very low. It would be great if you could give in more quantity xD. Thanks for having us guys.
It would be a 3.5 as it just doesn’t warrant a 4 in this case. We stopped for takeaway and the online order process is smooth and easy to use. Packaging of takeaway food is environmentally friendly. Two downsides. Fish could probably have spent a bit more time draining as it was really oily. The tartare sauce was tasteless. It tasted like cream mixed with mayo and did nothing to enhance the fish. Prices we’re reasonable. Just a shame about the taste.
