Although we were under the impression this was an Indian Restaurant, we were very happy with multi culture menu. Lots of thought went into the prep of each dish and the portions were very generous. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with making your choice of meal. It caters to gluten free and dairy free which was awesome. We loved this place and is a must while in town. Make reservations though as they are... View all feedback.
We had only one evening in Port Elgin and were looking forward to enjoying a delicious dinner. After reading many reviews, we decided on Saffron. We were disappointed to find out that the restaurant was not licensed to serve alcohol, but the owner was very gracious and provided us with recommendations for other places to get wine. We decided to get a bottle from the LCBO and bring it to Saffron. The pad thai I ordered was amazing, the best I've had outside of Asia. My friend also loved her selection of dishes. Thank you for your generosity and delicious food. The outdoor terrace was beautiful and the dining experience was delightful. Definitely stop by Saffron if you're in Port Elgin, even if you prefer to dine without alcohol.
For the first time after a two-year-old Kovid-Hiatus and was once again thrilled with their unique aromas and high-quality food! everything is freshly prepared and its use of fresh ingredients, seasoning and crumble makes this a must taste restaurant. we went for...brunch and my friends shared a huge double pancake and were more than satisfied. I decided for her frittata, green with fresh crumbles and dressed with a delicious yoghurt sauce. I took the half home and it was perfectly reheated. so glad to be back and look forward to finding me again with the dinner menu. make sure that they are double-checked and recommended for wintertimes.

I had Thai green curry, a friend had the evening. special Cuban bun with rice and be bored. we followed with the house dessert of the day blueberry oat bar. many food well prepared and great service. thanks for a great night.
Saffron is truly a gem gorgeous outdoor patio at the back dining in the midst of Zen gardens and well hidden away from the noise and dust of summer traffic it is an oasis in the midst of the town of Port Elgin ...We tried the Thai, African and Lebanese dishes they were all fragrant, flavorful and plentiful. Lots of leftovers for takeaway. Very reasonably priced especially considering the quality, quantity and exotic nature of these dishes. Children's menu available. The chai tea is delicious. Service is friendly and attentive. Make sure you reserve a table if you wish to dine in. Take out is also offered.
