this restaurant is embedded on the beach and does not look much. / can not be fooled by their conservatives. this place grabs a hit. / I have eaten several times and has not been disappointed. Hoher recommend the sweet mais, sashimi, caesar salat and pesto pasta. / to be fair, I did not have any bad meal here and observed the other dishes coming from me immediately eat jealous. / if they go to port douglas, do not wa... What Delbert Lehner doesn't like about Port Douglas Surf Club:
Went today for lunch, both of us ordered the cheeseburger.Would have to be the worst burger we have ever had and cost $16 each. The meat Pattie was tough and tasteless, the bun was also chewy.Obviously been reheated in microwave to melt the cheese.Won't be going back ever. View all feedback.
Great relaxed place. extensive menu the best steak I have eaten for a long time. cooked for perfection with delicious pfeffer sauce and fresh salat snoring hot chips. very generous meals. hubby had coral trout tacos and they were delicious. prawn and chorizo linguine. has amazing and tasted so good from all conten. children's menu has a good choice and good size meals followed by jelly -win wins for parents and children. in any case a visit or two at least during the holiday
We had a normal experience at this place. we arrived at 17.50 clock for a booking of 6 clock. we were thrown a dinner menu of an unpleasant waiter and said to order her order and then to a drink from the bar. We ordered our food and were later told at our dirty table that they were from the chicken dish at 18 o'clock. the lamb shell I received was a size of $35. my wife had to accept a chickenburger when they ran out of the huh. she ate half as it was cold and rubbery. a waiter then rushed to us and tried to take the half eaten food without asking if we were done. what a shocking experience at a place that calculates $35 for their net plus sides. we noticed that a series of debridled dunes went before us. this place raking in the dollars as people have difficulty finding places to eat due to personal shortage. they don't need me to come back at the moment, but the dinges will turn around when the people go to overseas. they will then begin to complain that the people go in oversea instead of port douglas. I will never return to this place again.
After some recommendations we have booked. the maitre de, a young girl, was particularly concerned about our internet booking and despite the request of one of the many empty available tables, she insisted that we have to take the table closest to the entrance. Okay, but the meal was the worst. I ordered a $35 lamming dish that was unpredictable. over boiled burned minced meat hides under an salad. I couldn't eat it. can not offer recommendations.
Not sure where to start. all this place was terrible. we have seen how the chef licks his finger after he shed a meal. they did not have the ingredients to make a cocktail on the menu (Aperol-Sprite, which now quite everywhere in...Australia,) another customer ordered a coffee and the personal said that they did not serve coffee at this time of the day, although they had a coffee as she spoke for another worker. no lemon served with calamari and we had to ask 2 employees for lemon before they put cut lemon (in the opposite to lemon wedges). fish in the fishtacos was good, but quite just eaten the fish and leave the rest of the tacos. Steak sandwich was very average. the employees seemed very attentive about their menu. this place has the potential to be great, but was a massive drop and will never return.
My husband ordered the slow-cooked lamb shoulder. He described it as the worst meal he's ever eaten. It was actually pulled meat (not described in the menu) and it was very dry and burned in parts. The serving was very small. He couldn't chew it...and left about half of it on his plate. I ordered an entree and it was larger than my husband's main course. It was part cold and part room temperature. I had been at the same venue a few days earlier and the staff who served me then were lovely, but when we went back for dinner a few days later, the manager was officious and unhelpful.
