The Burke - Port Coquitlam

The Burke has been all over the map with their food. Always expensive, not always good. Soup and sandwich is usually the best bet, but not always dependable. Their house beer can be rather unpleasant, but if you are there for cheap beer, it is the most affordable option. Management does have a knack of hiring very pleasant servers so the overall experience is fine. I noticed today that they have changed the menu and the chef that destroyed the food before was no where in sight. Maybe they have turned a corner?

We had a sports wind up party here. Service was slow, kitchen took up to an hour and when the food came it was cold. Fish tacos would have been way better if they had been warm. Son's ribs tasted awful too. Not sure if I would come back.

I used to go here with a group of friends every tuesday, because its cheep belinis before 6, and half price appys. No longer is it half price appys on tuesday, they have a new appy menu which is very poor and not very tasty. We used to love the spinach dip but it was not the same tonight, lumpy and not warm , nor mixed. They now have a burger special , but the meat is nasty and not the same quality as they use in their regular burgers which are very tasty. Guess im looking for a new tuesday night hang out. Will miss the chicken lettuce wraps

Went to the Burke on a whim, decided to try the poutine there, was definitely different, but in a good way! Will go back
